China’s health and fitness industry is in a new phase.
According to a recent report by the Beijing-based Chinese Association of Fitness Enterprises, the industry is worth nearly $US2 billion ($2.2 billion) annually.
The report, titled ‘Health & Fitness Industry in China’, was released this week and focuses on the “health & fitness industry in China”, the country’s largest.
This sector is the fastest growing in the country and is poised to continue its expansion. “
China’s health & health education sector is also growing, and has experienced a significant expansion.

It is the biggest in the world, and it has become one of the fastest-growing in the industry.
There is no shortage of talent in this sector.
According the report, a whopping 40 percent of the health & wellness workforce is comprised of graduates from private and public health colleges.
The health & education sector also employs more than 1 million people, and employs about 40 percent more people in the private sector than in the public sector.
This is because it is so big in terms of size and scope, the report notes.
“Health & fitness is a big industry in many countries, and we are looking forward to China joining the top 10 in 2020,” a spokesperson for the Association of Health & Physical Fitness Enterprises (AHFE) told CNBC in an email.
“We are very optimistic that China will overtake the US in 2020 as the top health & physical fitness market in the Asia-Pacific region.”
In 2020, China’s annual health & exercise expenditure is expected to reach US$9.7 billion, according to the World Health Organization.
That’s more than $US5 billion more than in 2020, when China overtook the US as the world’s top health care consumer.
“As the number of active and retired adults has increased over the past few years, the number and proportion of people in health care facilities has also increased, so the number & proportion of health & entertainment industry professionals in the workforce has also risen,” AHFE’s report said, citing the latest data from the Shanghai Municipal Health & Hospital Administration.
“This is also reflected in the number in the Chinese health & healthcare industry, which now exceeds the US by at least 50 percent.”
According to the report: “As of the end of 2020, health & mental health care was the second most popular type of care in China, with health care professionals comprising 25.6 percent of total healthcare professionals.
Physical & mental healthcare was the third most popular, with physical care professionals accounting for 15.5 percent of health care workers.”
Health & physical education & health care were both the second highest types of care and the third highest in terms (percent) of the total workforce.
The number of students enrolled in physical & mental education & physical care increased by almost 40 percent between 2020 and 2021, and by an additional 45 percent between 2021 and 2020.
“”In 2020 alone, there were 2.3 million students enrolled at schools in the health care sector.
A total of 944,000 health & educational & physical & educational professionals were enrolled in schools in 2020.
The health&health education sector continues to be the fastest rising sector in the China healthcare industry with a projected increase of approximately 100 percent by 2021,” the AHFE added. “
As the health industry has been the fastest expanding sector in China over the last few years it is expected that the health& health education industry will continue to expand.”
It said that over the next 10 years, there will be an increase in the total number of health professionals in China by more than 100 percent, from 690,000 in 2020 to more than 2.8 million in 2020 and over 3.4 million by 2020. “
According to the most recent data from Shanghai Municipal Healthcare Administration, there are now over 100,000 healthcare professionals in Shanghai.”
